Herb Pizza Dough Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pkg. active dry yeast
1 tsp. sugar
7/8 cup of warm water 110 F
1/4 cup Italian Seasoning
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. garlic olive oil — as needed
Oil and cornmeal for pan
Directions:
Mix together warm water, yeast and sugar in a bowl and let it stand and wait for it to start getting foamy. This will take around 10 mins. Make sure that your food processor is fitted with its steel blade. Begin to chop all of your herbs. Next add the salt and flour.
Turn your food processor on and off several times. Then when food processor is on, add in your yeast. Just continue mixing until your mixture will form a sticky ball inside the food processor bowl. Next, add in your garlic olive oil. Continue to process it for a few more seconds (30-40 seconds).
In a bowl that is well greased with some olive oil, transfer the doughy mixture and then slowly turn it and make sure that all the sides of your dough are coated well with oil. Next, cover your bowl with any clean damp cloth or towel. Let it rise in a place that is warm and free of draft for about 1 hr. or just until it has doubled its size.
Lightly dust with flour a flat surface where you can start rolling your dough. If your dough becomes too elastic they try to toss if from one hand to the other so that it becomes flat. Grease your pizza pan using some oil. Then sprinkle on it the cornmeal. Then place your dough onto the pan. Make sure to trim its edges. Cook or bake it in your oven for around 10 mins on 425′ F.
Remove out of your oven and brush your crust using some more olive oil. Add in your favorite or desired toppings. This recipe will make enough pizza dough for 1 12-inch crust.
