Basic Pizza Dough Recipe
Ingredients:
2 packgs. dry yeast
1 1/2 cup lukewarm water
4 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tbsp. olive oil
Directions:
In a container slowly mix the lukewarm water and the yeast by stirring for 5 mins. In another bowl combine together salt, sugar and flour. In the bowl’s center make a small well. Check to see if the yeast and water mixture is already bubbling. When it is already bubbling, pour all the water and yeast mix into your well. Then start to incorporate all the ingredients together in the center and make sure that they all mix.
If your dough mixture is a bit dry, be sure to add some water and if it is kind of sticky, then add some more of the flour to it. Knead it well until the dough appears smooth & stretchy. Form it into a ball and cover with a damp/wet cloth. Rest your dough in a warm location for 20 mins.
Also beat the dough with the palm of your hand to release the gas that has formed while the dough ferments. Form the dough into a ball again and put in an oiled bowl. Coat the dough with the oil. Cover it with some plastic wrap and then put in your refrigerator to store.
When you already want to make some pizza just get your dough out into a lightly floured flat surface. Make the dough flat using your own hands and work from the center towards the outer portion ( You can also use a rolling pin to roll the dough out).
Get your well oiled cookie sheet or you can use a pizza pan and push your dough into the sheet and form a circle that is about 12 inches in diameter and make sure that the edge is much more thick than the middle portion of the pizza. You can now add any topping you desire. In a 475-500′ F oven, bake the pizza until it is golden or cooked.
Pizza Dough Recipe #3
Ingredients:
1 1/2 tsp. bread machine yeast
3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup milk
2 tbsps. olive oil
1/2 cup lukewarm water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
Pinch of sugar
Directions:
Combine all of the ingredients together inside your food processor except for the lukewarm water. Pulse the mixture to incorporate all of the ingredients well together. Turn the machine on while slowly drizzling water to the mixture until a soft ball of dough is formed. Just let your dough ball be processed inside the food processor so that it is kneaded. Get your dough out of the food processor and on a lightly floured board or surface.
Start to knead it for a couple of minutes or just till it gets elastic. In a well oiled bowl, place the dough mixture and leave it to rest just until the dough has doubled in its size. After it has doubled in size, take it out of the bowl. Punch it down to release the air. Divide into two equal portions. Roll them out to make four medium sized pizza crusts that will be sufficient for 4 persons.
Preheat your oven to 400′ F for about 30 mins. if you are going to be using a pizza stone. When just using the regular oven then preheating should only be 10 to 15 minutes in 400′ F. On the back of your baking sheet sprinkled with cornmeal, you can place your crust and then cook inside the oven for about 8 mins.
After 8 mins. take it out of the oven and top with your desired toppings. Put it back in the oven for another 8 minutes or just until the crusts appear golden or the cheese is bubbling.
Boboli Type Pizza Crust Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup water
3 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsps. olive oil
1 tbsps. sugar
2 tsps. red star active dry yeast
1 tsp. minced garlic
2 tsps. parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
parmesan cheese to sprinkle
Directions:
Combine together all the ingredients except the parmesan cheese for sprinkling inside your bread maker in the proposed order. It’s a great idea in adding the minced garlic together with the flour because it will not affect the yeast. Then set your bread maker to dough setting.
After all the ingredients have been incorporated together, put out lightly greased pizza pans and make 2 crusts on the pans out of the dough. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese, cover the dough and allow the dough to rise. Then bake at 450′ F for about 5 to 10 minutes until the crusts are lightly browned.
Cool them down. Wrap the cooked pizza crusts in aluminum foil. Then freeze them until needed. This is good for you to have on hand for an easy dinner and its also a nice way to get your kids together and have fun making some pizza.
Cornmeal Pizza Crust Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup warm water
1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
2 & 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup cornmeal — plus
1 tbsps. cornmeal — divided
2 tbsps. sugar (can also be substituted with honey)
2 tsps. active dry yeast
Directions:
In a bread machine pan with the exact measurements and in the order that the manufacturer specified in the manual, mix together all the ingredients aside from the 1 tbsp. of cornmeal. Settings should be to basic dough cycle and then press start. After all the ingredients have incorporated and mixed well, get the dough out of the bread machine and let it rest for about 2-3 mins.
Pat the dough after letting it rest and start to gently pull & stretch it out to around 14-15 inch circle shape. Spray some non stick cooking spray to a pizza pan which has a diameter of around 14 inches, and then sprinkle the remaining tbsp. of cornmeal. Afterwards press your dough in the pan.
Then add your favorite toppings and follow the baking instructions for the individual recipes. A 14 inch crust can make 8 portions/servings.
Easy Pizza Dough Recipe
Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups unbleached, all-purpose flour
2 pkgs. dry active yeast
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 cup lukewarm water from the tap
1/2 tsp. olive oil
Flour, for the work surface
Cornmeal, for dusting
Directions:
Combine yeast, flour, sugar and salt in a mixing bowl that has been fitted with a dough hook. Press start to begin the mixing process then gradually pour in the water. Knead the doughy mixture on low speed and wait until it has become smooth and firm. Continue this for 10 mins. Then turn the mixer off. Add the olive oil inside the mixing bowl. Once again on low speed start the mixing for about 15 more seconds just to make sure that all the sides of your bowl have been coated.
Also make sure that your pizza dough has been coated well. With a plastic or serran wrap, cover the bowl. Find a warm place and let your dough begin to rise for 2 hrs or just until it has doubled its size. Oven should be preheated to 500′ F an hour before baking the pizza. When using a pizza stone then place the stone on the oven’s lowest rack. Punch your dough down into the bowl and then cut into 2 equal portions.
Place 1 portion of your pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface. Using your hands, form the pizza dough in a not so tight ball. Then stretch it to a round shape. Roll your dough out using a rolling pin in a round shape until it is quite thin. Do not be worried if you don’t get that perfect round pizza shape and when you get holes in your dough just lightly press the edges together for the hole to close.
To avoid the dough in being too sticky to handle and also from being sticky on your counter just turn it over and put some more flour on the dough’s other side and also lightly dust some flour as well on the board or top of your counter. You can use either a pizza peel or a cookie sheet for baking. Sprinkle your cookie sheet or pizza peel with a generous amount of cornmeal.
Then transfer your rolled out dough on the cookie sheet or pizza peel. Add your toppings. Put your dough on the pizza stone or you can place the cookie sheet with your pizza onto the bottom of your oven rack. Set your timer to 10 or 12 mins. and bake the pizza itself until it turns golden. On the other hand, roll the remaining pizza dough then put your favorite toppings on top or you can freeze them in freezer bags for longer shelf life. Use when ready.

Basic Pizza Dough Recipe 2
Ingredients:
3 1/4 cups unbleached flour
2 tsps. salt
1 cup warm water
1 envelope of active dry yeast
3 tbsps. olive oil
Directions:
In a stainless steel bowl whisk together warm water, yeast & 2 tbsps. of the olive oil and then let the mixture rest for about 5 mins. In another bowl mix together flour & salt. Make a well in the bowl’s center and then add the already rested yeasty mixture in the middle of the bowl.
Use a spatula to incorporate all the ingredients together until they become a somewhat sticky dough. Lightly dust with flour a flat surface where you can knead your dough. Put your sticky dough unto your surface. Start kneading using the heel of your hand to work the pizza dough.
Push it outwards and then pull inside the edge and fold it over on the top. Repeat the same process until you get a ball of smooth dough that is not sticky. Grease with 1 tbsp. of the remainder of the oil another steel bowl and put in our ball of dough.
Cover it with some cloth. Let it rise for about 1.5 hours in room temp. or just till it doubles its original size. After the pizza dough is finished rising you can then cut it into 2 pieces and then form them into balls again. These balls are ready for storage and when needed, you will have your pizza crusts ready.
Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust Recipe
Ingredients:
1 tsp. white sugar
1 1/2 cup warm water (110 F/45 C)
1 tbsp. active dry yeast
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. salt
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Directions:
In a glass bowl mix together the sugar and warm 110′ F water and make sure that the sugar dissolves completely. Put yeast on top. For 10 mins let your dough stand or just until the yeast is foamy.
Pour in salt and olive oil into the yeast mix. Next put a cup of all purpose flour & all the whole wheat flour. Mix them all until it all blends together well.
Flour your board and put your dough mixture and then knead it well and make sure that all the flour on the board is well absorbed by the dough and the dough itself will be smooth in appearance. This will take up to 10 mins.
Then place your dough inside a bowl that is already greased and make sure that all sides are evenly coated. Cover it then with cloth or towel. Put in a place that is warm and wait for it to rise. This will take about an hour.
After the dough has risen or has become double its size, put it on the board that has already been floured lightly and then divide it into two pieces to be able to produce two thin crusts or you can just leave it in 1 piece for a thicker crust.
Next, form the dough into a compact ball and make sure that it is tight and then let it rise again for 45 mins or until its size has become double.
Oven should be preheated to around 425′ F. Roll out the dough using the rolling pin and then stretch it to maximum capacity. Next drape the dough on both fists. Ever so slowly pull its edges toward the outside while you are rotating its crust.
After reaching your desired circle size you can now place it in your well greased pizza pan. You can now top the pizza crust with the desired cheeses, sauces, meat, vegetables and other toppings that you want.
In your oven, bake the pizza for around 16-20 mins or until you notice that the pizza crust has turned golden brown at its sides and crisp. Also make sure that your cheese has melted into your pizza.
New York Style Pizza Dough Recipe

1 1/2 cup warm water
2 1/2 tsps. granulated sugar
2 1/2 tsps. salt
1 tbsp. olive oil
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. active dry yeast
1/2 cup cornmeal
sauce, cheese, and toppings of your choice

After the dough has formed and all the ingredients have been incorporated take out your dough on a floured board or flat surface. Then press it to make a round pizza shape. Sprinkle the yeast all throughout the dough. Start to knead it for about 12 mins.
You can now divide your dough mixture in equal parts depending on what kind of dish you will create: four portions when making calzones, three equal parts for 8-inch pizzas and for 12-inch pizzas, two equal parts. Put your balls of dough inside a bowl. Make sure to cover it with some plastic wrap. Let it rise in about 1.5 hrs in a warm place. When ready for use, lightly dust with flour your board or flat surface.
Place your ball of dough. Also put some flour on the top of the ball to prevent sticking. Start to work from its outer edges right to the middle. Make your dough into a round shape. Preheat your pizza stone in the oven for about 1 hr at 500′ F. On the big cutting board, sprinkle some cornmeal.
Put your flattened pizza dough on the cutting board. Put in your desired sauces on the crust and put your desired cheeses and toppings too. Shake the board to make sure that your dough does not stick to it. To make calzones, make sure that the crust is folded in half. Get the calzone/pizza from your board while sliding it and put it on the pizza stone inside our preheated oven. Cook and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the crust has turned golden brown.
Quick Pizza Dough Recipe
Ingredients:
4 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose White flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup olive oil
2 pckgs. dry yeast
1 1/2 cup warm water
2 tbsps. light brown sugar
Directions:
In a bowl put in half a cup of water (110′ F) and brown sugar. (Be sure that your water temperature is not very hot or it will spoil the yeast). Add 2 packs of yeast to your water & sugar mixture. Set aside the mixture for about 5 mins. The mixture will then bubble up and froth. (This will make around 2 cups)
Combine together 4 cups flour & salt and then sift them together in a bowl. Next, form a well in the center and put in about 3/4’s of your olive oil plus a cup of warm water. Then add the yeast mixture that has already frothed or bubbled up and then start to mix all of it together to form the pizza dough.
Using both hands, mix all the ingredients and make sure that they are thoroughly incorporated together inside a bowl. Lightly dust a counter top or board where you plan to knead your dough.
Form your dough in a tight ball and then transfer it to your floured counter top or board and start kneading for around 8-10 minutes. If dough becomes sticky to your feel or kind of wet while kneading just sprinkle some more flour on your board. Continue kneading until you have reached a level of elasticity with the pizza dough.
Grease a bowl with what’s left of the olive oil & then put your kneaded dough into it and be sure to coat it evenly with the oil. Put a clean cloth over the bowl and wait for the dough to rise in a warm place that will be free from draft and wait for the dough to double its size for around 1.5-2 hours.
You can also place it inside your oven with lights on to be able to supply the needed heat temperature for our dough to rise. After it doubles its size, cut in 2 pieces and roll out each one on a lightly floured flat surface. These are your pizza crusts. If you want a round pizza shape, you can use a 12-inch bowl as shape guide to achieve that round traditional pizza shape.

2 jumbo eggs at room temperature
2 tbsps. thyme
1 cup warm water
1 pkg. rapid rise yeast
2 tsps. Sugar
Directions:
In a bowl combine the warm water, sugar and yeast. Make sure to whisk all of them together. After mixing them together set the mixture aside. Let it rest for about 10 mins. In another bowl combine the salt & flour. Sift them together and then sprinkle the thyme.
