Bertucci’s Nolio Pizza Recipe
Ingredients:
1 med. yellow onion
1 tsp. white pepper
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 lemon
1 1/2 cup shredded prosciutto
1 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 pkg. Pilsbury pizza dough (or homemade).
Olive oil
Directions:
Oven should be preheated to 400′ F.
In a saucepan, boil the heavy cream and wait for it to thicken. Then, add the juice of half a lemon and white pepper. Make sure that your onions are thinly sliced to have rings. Then saute onions in oil and wait for them to brown.
Put together your pizza in the following order:
First, roll out the dough into a non stick pizza pan. Put the cheese and follow with the prosciutto. Next, add your thickened cream 1 tbsp at a time and spread it all over your pizza evenly. Drain your onions rings and top them last. Onions will caramelize as your pizza is baking in the oven. Bake for about 8-10 mins. Remember to not overly bake your pizza because they might become dry.
